Every year, my daughters and I go on a MDG (Mother Daughter Getaway). This is one of the major highlights of my year, and a gift from God, if you ask me. The last couple of years, we have gone hiking in Sedona. Searching for our vortexes, we’ve had some of the best times ever. Look closely. I’m at the top of that mountain, waving at you!
Another great walk, if you have the time is the 3-day Susan G. Komen walk for the cure for cancer. This entails 60 miles of walking through the best city in the world.
Standing underneath the Golden Gate Bridge and listening to the thunder of cars overhead is a cool experience that everyone needs to have at least once. But have it with one of your children, or grandchildren, and do it for a good cause!
And then back again. Walking in the fog is great, cause you can’t see how far you have to go! Walking with one of your daughters makes it even more fun.
When I’m blue, I walk. Walking is good medicine.
