Just when I thought I would not be able to come up with a post today, a good friend in DC sent this along:
“All – the DC office was treated to an incredible sight today; the space shuttle Discovery on its final flight. The initial flight path over Rosslyn had it directly above the office, followed by several other fly-bys near us and over DC. The attached photos were taken by Jamie Bowden from Owen’s balcony this morning. Enjoy!”
So many people here got to see this today! It is totally awesome, isn’t it?!
The scene in DC reminded me of the first time I saw the shuttle in 1980 or so… I’ll write up a blog entry on it tonight.
thanks for sharing.
You are very welcome, Bill! Exciting stuff!
Yes! I hope you got to see it Laura! And the kids!!!
The space shuttles landing at Edwards here in CA cracked my windows. 🙂
