Busy Bees

You find the best stuff, exploring in the cool of the morning. Busy bees, building a hive right on the walking path of about 1,000 residents. Poor bees. Better keep your suitcases packed. The focus isn’t so good! I was a little nervous trying to get my I-Phone up close to them!

Widowed in 2012, I am a mother and grandmother. Born in San Francisco, I now live in the town I grew up in: Mill Valley, California. I love nature photography. Just an amateur but that's OK! My goal: world peace. Got any ideas?

Those are not actually bees. They’re wasps. Bees build their hives out of wax (not the mud-paper that the wasps above are making) and bees aren’t this neon yellow color. Also, bees prefer to live in a hollow, whereas wasps will build a nest anywhere relatively sheltered. Like a bush, lol.
