How do you eat your Cherrios?

Dear Cooper, It was great seeing you after church today! I enjoyed talking to you. Thanks for sharing your pumpkin cookie with me! I liked the way you ate your cookie: first the stem; then the left eye; then the right eye; then the nose!

You know, when I was six years old like you, I used to really like Cherrios. They were my favorite cereal. And I had a kind of weird way of eating them. I used to search through the bowl, and pick one Cherrio out that I would name “Jesus”. I learned about Him in Sunday School where we used to sing this song, “Jesus Loves Me“. Ask your grandma, she’ll sing it for you.

Jesus was someone very special and He loved me. So, I would eat all the other Cherrios in the bowl, leaving Him right to the end. I always left Jesus in the bottom of the bowl, safe and sound. I was kind of a weird kid, wasn’t I? 🙂

By the way, Jesus loves you too! And so do I!

Have a great day Cooper!

Sue, that is so sweet! Now you know why we never mind babysitting as it is always a wonderful new experience with Cooper. We went to feed the ducks and had such a good time after Coffee.
Those ducks fight over every crumb we throw and we always laugh at them and have such a good time.
