Yeh, Sally, I never met him, but by the way she acted, he must have been a great guy. Did you see the way she’d cry, just staring out the window? So weird…
Actually, though, come to think of it, I think she got a little help from some humans too. Remember? Those neighbor ladies kept bringing food. That was cool. And remember that time that lady came to the house? What was her name? Stephen Minister? Weird name. But she seemed to like her a lot.
Then there was the “Group”. What’s a Group, Sally? I don’t know. But she kept saying, “Boy, that Group really helped me a lot.”
Yeh, and then there were her kids. Blah. Blah. Blah. Man, can they talk a long time on the phone, or what? Really cuts into our snuggle time. But she always smiles when they call.
Oh right, and don’t forget all those friends from church! Man, they could really make her cry. And then she’d laugh. And then she’d cry. And then she’d laugh again. So weird. But she kept saying, “What would I ever do without my church family?” So I guess that’s a good thing.
And, Sally, who’s that guy? Pasta? Pastel? Pastor! That’s it. Gheez! I’m not sure, but sounds like he is a really important guy. She’s always saying “God bless Pastor. He always says the right thing.”
Well Harry, I guess the more you think about it, it took a lot of us to get her through this time. We did good, though, didn’t we?
Sally, I think we did real good. Yeh, Harry, she’s lucky to have all of us. I think she’s going to be OK now. She’s been laughing more, did you notice? And she keeps saying she’s going to buy a bike and go exploring. I don’t know what a bike is, but maybe there’s birds involved, and that can only be good!
Making me tired thinking about it. I think I need to take a nap. Yeh, me too Sally!
Don’t forget to say your prayers Harry!
